MSS is an application developed to make the shopping of clothes a more satisfying experience, bringing the reality of shopping closer to the expectations of it.
The design is centered on the mobility and versatility of modern mobile phones. It is your very own, personal shopping assistant.
This is achieved through a unique combination of versatile features. The main functions are a customizable search engine, a map and navigation system, the possibility to manage and store friends and an RFID scanner that easily lets you scan clothes to for example find out if something is cheaper elsewhere or find out where someone bought that nice shirt they're wearing. The whole system is based on a personal profile which learns your preferences as you buy clothes and thus gives accurate recommendations when you search for clothes.
I am an interaction designer. What this means to me is that I create or shape the user experience. What that experience might be varies from situation to situation. It may mean crafting an efficient workflow for a business application's interface, or it might be to make the shopping experience more fun through the use of mobile phones.
I have a varied background and an education that touches on different things. My main skills beyond interaction design are the skills that allow me to visualize my ideas these are primarily graphic design and photography.
I have a Bachelor of Science in Informatics with a specialization on Interactive Media from Kristianstad University. In 2005 I started at the Interaction Design Master's Programme at Malmö University, where I graduated in 2007.
Besides interaction design I have an interest in graphic design, webdesign and photography which are great tools for an interaction designer to illustrate ideas and concepts. My view on working as an interaction designer is that you may work in different situations but your main goal is always to create the best user experience.
