In the digital game 100 %, you can learn about typical Swedish behaviour and it is targeted towards newcomers in Sweden. However, it is not less enjoyable for those born and bred in Sweden, through the humorous self-recognition.
From the main first level, you can enter different stations to complete tasks and gather percentage points in order to become hundred percent Swedish. The theme of one of the games in this prototype is the relationship Swedes have towards alcohol. You go out partying with a group of Swedes, and the objective is to get drunk as quickly as possible.
In another station you can try a quiz game, and for example learn that spitting in public is fully accepted in this country. You may also encounter the unpleasant neighbours; Dog litter spy, Gossiping neighbour, Swedish child and the Laundrette police.
I have previously often used satire and humour in my illustrative work, hence I concentrated on the less flattering Swedish behaviours. I worked in Illustrator and Flash as I find 2D a much superior way to portray people, not the least because you can show facial expressions. In 3D humans have a tendency to look stone faced and plastic.
